Discussion Topics
ROLE PLAY (RP) IN ROMANUM
Continuing discussions of day-to-day RP and how "Roman" Romanum should be. Tribune Ruggeris pointed out that Romanum is a version of ancient Rome and is open to some individual interpretation.
Extensive discussion centered - with three charioteers present - on RP possibilities in chariot races. Tribune Ruggeris offered the examples of betting on races and bribing drivers (Tribune lead suggested rp money). duracuir asked whether it would be possible to have three speeds to increase difficulty and said he had seen this employed in Alexandria. Tribune Ruggeris raised the possibilities of more obstacles, improving chariot tech and racing in the Hippodrome. Use of personal horses was discussed along with horse races, with costs of both horse and chariot programming as factors. Tribune Lead suggested mid-week horse racing events, and Dax would like to see more promotion of the events. Tribune Ruggeris suggested a Charioteer Union as a focus for discussion of RP opportunities.
Tribune Lead said he would pull racing topics together to discuss with Nero and Tybalt, as they are in charge of the chariots. (Bearing in mind that they are already very busy.)
duracuir asked whether tours of the large homes might arranged so that Citizens could enjoy the efforts put forth by owners. Tribune Lead mentioned the event Tribune Ruggeris organized last year and offered tours of the Inn and the Gallerie. Tribune Ruggeris said that all that is needed for a tour is home owner permission and the ability to post notices in Empire and VIP groups.
Tribune Popov asked about scripts requiring eating/drinking to maintain health as RP options and said those might also present opportunities for markets, growers and caterers. Tribune Ruggeris mentioned "drugged wine" scripts as one example of scripts for food/drink. Tribune Lead will meet with Tribune Popov for further discussion.
GENERAL BUSINESS
There was no general business arising.
Tribune Lead thanked Tribunes and Scribe and especially the two Citizens for their attendance and input.
Tribune Lead Ras Parthicus closed the meeting at 9:25.
